Sovereign Call Intelligence

Every call becomes
a task list.

Scout records every call through Twilio, transcribes audio entirely on your own server, and uses a local AI to extract action items โ€” zero audio ever leaves your VPS after the initial download.

Pipeline
From ring to tasks in minutes

Every inbound and outbound call flows through a five-step pipeline that runs entirely on your server after the initial Twilio handoff.

๐Ÿ“ž
01 โ€” Call Arrives
Your Twilio number rings. Scout answers with TwiML, starts a dual-channel recording that captures both sides, and forwards the call to your real number so the conversation is completely normal.
๐ŸŽ™๏ธ
02 โ€” Recording Downloads
When the call ends Twilio sends a webhook. Scout downloads the MP3 to your VPS immediately. That is the last time any audio touches an external server.
๐Ÿ“
03 โ€” Local Transcription
faster-whisper runs on your VPS CPU with the base model. No API key. No audio uploaded anywhere. Full transcript is written to SQLite in under two minutes for a typical call.
๐Ÿง
04 โ€” AI Task Extraction
The transcript is sent to Ollama running qwen3:4b locally. The model reads the conversation and returns a structured JSON array of tasks with title, description, and priority. No cloud LLM involved.
โœ…
05 โ€” Tasks Ready
Tasks appear on the Scout dashboard linked to the call recording and transcript. Mark them done from your phone or desktop. Future versions push tasks directly into Field, BeardSign, and Proposals.

Intelligence
What Scout hears. What it does.

The local LLM listens for commitments, follow-ups, deadlines, and open questions โ€” then turns them into discrete, prioritized tasks.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ You say on a call...

Caller
"Can you send me the revised proposal before Friday? Also I think we're going to need a permit from the county for the roof penetrations."
You
"Yeah, I'll get that over to you today. And I'll call the AHJ tomorrow to check on the structural permit process."

Sovereignty
Your calls. Your server. Your data.

Most call-recording products sell access to your conversations. Scout gives you the infrastructure with no middleman holding your audio.

๐Ÿ”’
Audio never re-uploaded
MP3 is downloaded from Twilio once, stored on your VPS, and processed there. No third-party ASR API ever sees your calls.
๐Ÿค–
Fully local LLM
Ollama runs qwen3:4b on your own hardware. Task extraction happens without any OpenAI, Anthropic, or Groq call. No tokens billed.
๐Ÿ—„๏ธ
SQLite on disk
Every call, transcript, and task lives in a single SQLite file on your server. No hosted database. No vendor lock-in. Back it up with one command.
๐Ÿ“ž
Twilio is just routing
Twilio's only job is delivering the call and the recording webhook. It doesn't analyze, retain, or sell your content โ€” you own the number.
โšก
Vanilla Node.js
No frameworks. No build steps. No node_modules nightmare. The entire backend is one Express file you can read and understand in 20 minutes.
๐Ÿ› ๏ธ
You own the code
Scout is part of the beard.Energy stack โ€” not a subscription product. Run it, fork it, extend it. No monthly seat fee for your own call data.

Your next call is already a task list.

Scout is live and recording. Open the dashboard to see your calls, transcripts, and AI-extracted tasks โ€” all on your infrastructure.
